Resumen
En este trabajo analizo las formas en las que la Escuela Libre Textil se configura para producir un cambio social, a partir de su enunciación, actividades, plataforma e interacciones con el público. De esta manera, argumento que la misma es una expresión de activismo social, en tanto se configura como una comunidad para la transformación social mediante su vínculo con los oficios textiles, la narración de sus experiencias y con ello, la construcción de redes entre quienes la conforman. A través de una etnografía digital abordo los diferentes mecanismos que permiten a la Escuela generar dinámicas para la autoformación e investigación pública y gratuita de los oficios textiles, principalmente en la red social de Instagram. Por un lado, pues expone el trabajo emocional, material e interactivo que involucra estas labores en tanto artesanía, para motivar su valoración económica, histórica y simbólica. Asimismo, porque apropia la capacidad creativa de los oficios textiles, medios y agentes para la transformación social; de manera que convocan a personas interesadas en "inspirar" y "dejarse inspirar" por las demandas sociales individuales, colectivas y la construcción de otros mundos posibles. Por medio de discusiones, las participantes de la Escuela tejen en las charlas una amplia variedad de propuestas que replican en sus contextos sociales y geográficos. Así, la expresión política del arte textil en el ámbito pedagógico se manifiesta en tanto pone en tensión diversos fenómenos sociales, que van desde la problematización del acceso a los conocimientos sobre los oficios textiles hasta los conflictos de género que engloban.
Abstract
In this paper I analyze the ways in which the Escuela Libre Textil is configured to produce social change through its enunciation, activities, platform, and interactions with the public. In this way, I argue that it is an expression of social activism, as it is configured as a community for social transformation through its link with the textile trades, the narration of its experiences and with it, the construction of networks among those who make it up. Through a digital ethnography I address the different mechanisms that allow the School to generate dynamics for self-training and public and free research of textile trades, mainly in the social network Instagram. On the one hand, because it exposes the emotional, material and interactive work that involves these tasks as crafts, to motivate its economic, historical and symbolic valuation. Also, because it appropriates the creative capacity of textile crafts, means and agents for social transformation; in a way that summons people interested in "inspiring" and "letting themselves be inspired" by individual and collective social demands and the construction of other possible worlds. Through discussions, the participants of the School weave in the talks a wide variety of proposals that they replicate in their social and geographical contexts. Thus, the political expression of textile art in the pedagogical sphere is manifested insofar as it puts into tension diverse social phenomena, ranging from the problematization of access to knowledge about textile crafts to the gender conflicts they encompass.
